PSI provides assistance to the NNSA Office of Field Support in conducting Protective Force training analyses that have the potential of enhancing security operations and security force protection for the NNSA, DOE, and Environmental Management facilities. This scope include identification, analysis, and tracking of the training requirements and resource implications associated with maintaining a Tactical Response Force presence. The broad focus will be geared toward maintaining the most cost-effective means of preparing and sustaining protective forces to meet site protection needs. Specific work scope includes:
Training Requirements Needs Analysis. PSI conducts a needs analysis to identify gaps in the Tactical Response Force training requirements as compared to current security Police Officer curricula.
Quality Assessment of Site-Specific Protective Force Training. PSI determines the quality, quantity and applicability of site-specific protective force training both for incumbent refresher and annual maintenance purposes as well as for new hires, with a view toward identifying approaches for standardization.
Comparative Analyses of Tactical Response Force Approaches, Costs and Staffing. PSI develops new, or updates existing comparative analyses of the differing approaches, costs and staffing levels relating to each site’s implementation of the “training shift or element” requirement.
In this contract, PSI is held to the highest standards for deliverables and performance measures which are indicative of the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of performance on every PSI contract.
